Gay Talese yesterday confirmed by email that the adaptation of his book The Voyeur's Motel (directed by Sam Mendes and produced by Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks) will be written by Glasgow-born Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Darren Aronofsky's The Good Nurse).

Wilson-Cairns worked on John Logan's Penny Dreadful TV series. Logan wrote the screenplay for Michael Grandage's Genius starring Colin Firth, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Laura Linney. He is also known for Mendes' James Bond films, Spectre and Skyfall. American Beauty, Road To Perdition and Revolutionary Road directed by Mendes were produced by DreamWorks.

The John Logan to Sam Mendes to DreamWorks connection leads to Krysty Wilson-Cairns and Gay Talese.

Gay Talese's The Voyeur's Motel will be published in the US and UK July, 2016.
